Creality Ender 3 V3 KE
The V3 KE is the faster sibling of the Ender 3 V3 SE. It keeps the bed-slinger layout and the Sprite extruder, then adds what makes modern printers quick. The firmware is Creality OS, built on the open-source Klipper firmware. The X axis rides on a linear rail, the hotend has a ceramic heater and a copper nozzle rated to 300 °C, and Creality rates it at up to 500 mm/s. A CR Touch probe and a strain gauge handle the levelling and nozzle height, and prints come off a textured PEI sheet. It talks to Creality Print or Creality Cloud over Wi-Fi, but you don't have to use the cloud. What it lacks is an accelerometer, which Creality sold separately for proper input shaping.

Printer check
Hours, hotend, bed and firmware
- Print hours
- Nothing in Creality's documentation shows a print-time counter for the V3 KE, so ask the seller for a rough figure and a recent print.
- Hotend and nozzle
- The Sprite extruder feeds a hotend with a 60 W ceramic heater and a copper nozzle that Creality rates to 300 °C. Ask for a close photo of the nozzle tip and whether the spare nozzle from the box is still there.
- Bed and levelling
- A CR Touch probe levels the bed and a strain gauge sets the Z offset. Prints go on a textured PEI spring-steel sheet. Look at the sheet in the photos for bald patches.
- Belts, rails and screws
- It's a bed slinger with a linear rail on the X axis and twin Z screws linked by a belt to one motor. Input shaping uses a fixed setting unless you add Creality's vibration compensation sensor, which was sold separately. Ask the seller to show the bed rolling freely and the belts tight.
- Firmware and account
- It runs Creality OS, which is based on Klipper, and Creality publishes the source. Owners can install standard Klipper instead. It prints over Wi-Fi, LAN or USB, and Creality Cloud is optional, so ask the seller to unlink it from their Creality Cloud account and say whether the firmware is stock.
- Spare parts
- Creality sells a quick-swap nozzle kit that fits the Ender 3 V3 line, and Creality's wiki covers its manuals. Check the part you'd need is available before you buy one with a damaged hotend.
- Shipping and packaging
- No Creality packing guide turned up for the KE. Ask for the original box, with the sheet and screen protected and the gantry held still.

Check the listing photos against these lists, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing sheet, add-on or power supply should come off the price.
What to check
There's no known V3 KE defect. One review found Creality's own Klipper interface limited, which is why some owners switch to standard Klipper, so ask whether this one has been changed.
- 01Model name: Check the listing and label say V3 KE. The SE and plain V3 are different printers.
- 02Recent print: Ask for a photo of a recent print with the first layer up. Even lines mean the levelling works.
- 03Nozzle: Ask for a close photo of the nozzle tip and whether the spare is in the box. A clean, round tip is good.
- 04Sheet: Look at the textured PEI sheet in the photos. Even texture is good, and bald patches mean a new sheet.
- 05Firmware: Ask whether it runs stock Creality OS or a custom Klipper install. Either is fine if the seller says which.
- 06Belts: Ask the seller to pluck the X and Y belts. They should feel taut.
- 07Cloud account: Ask the seller to unlink it from Creality Cloud before it ships. It should arrive ready for your account.
