Brand
Elegoo was founded in Shenzhen in 2015 by Chris Hong, with co-founder Kevin Wang, to make electronics kits for STEM education, and the name joins electronic with googol, the number one followed by a hundred zeros. It went on to become one of the big names in hobby resin printing with its Mars and Saturn printers, and in filament printing with the Neptune line. The Neptune 4 Pro and 4 Max ship with Klipper firmware, and the Mars 4 Ultra and Saturn 4 Ultra cover small and large resin printing, the Saturn with a tilting vat and an AI camera. Elegoo rates its mono screens at about 2,000 hours and sells replacement screens for these models, with a three-month warranty. Its beginner guides are clear on resin safety, with nitrile gloves, goggles, ventilation and an alcohol wash for every print.
