Brand
Creality, full name Shenzhen Creality 3D Technology, was founded in Shenzhen in 2014 by four partners. Its Ender 3 of 2018 became the printer that taught a generation of hobbyists to tinker, and Creality says it shipped 4.4 million printers between 2020 and 2024. The Ender 3 V3 SE and V3 KE carry that line on with auto levelling and, on the KE, Klipper-based firmware. The K1 of April 2023 was Creality's first enclosed CoreXY. It drew complaints, and in January 2024 Creality released the K1C, which fixed many of them. Creality has a mixed record on open source, with documented GPL violations from 2018 until at least 2022, but it now publishes its K1-series Klipper source and an official root-access guide on GitHub. Older models drop off its website fast, so check the parts you'll need before you buy.
