The Photon Mono 2 is the simple end of Anycubic's resin range, and that's its appeal. A 6.6 in mono screen at 4,096 x 2,560 masks each layer onto a 165 x 89 mm plate, with 143 mm of height, enough for a squad of miniatures or a set of rings. There's no Wi-Fi and no app. You slice on a computer, carry the file over on a USB stick, and level the plate by hand at four points, the way resin printers have worked for years. The plate rides on a single linear rail. Anycubic rates the screen at 2,000 hours and sells a replacement screen and FEP film for it, so the two parts that wear out on any resin printer are easy to replace. For a first resin printer, that keeps the risk small.

Ask, and get a photo of the screen with the vat off, looking for cracks, dead lines or resin under the edges. The plain one at $180 delivered sits at the floor of the $180 to $320 band.
