The Kobra 3 is Anycubic's answer to the multi-color craze. On its own it's a fast bed slinger with a 250 x 250 x 260 mm build volume, a 300 °C direct-drive hotend and LeviQ 3.0 levelling, rated to 600 mm/s at the top end and 300 mm/s for everyday work. Add Anycubic's ACE Pro and it prints in four colors, or eight with a second unit, and the Kobra 3 Combo bundles the printer with one. The firmware, Kobra OS, adds resonance compensation, flow correction and spaghetti detection. When we checked, Anycubic's own Combo page was sold out and warned it might ship a Kobra 4 Combo instead, so used is now the main way to get a Kobra 3. A Combo with a tidy ACE Pro is the one to look for.

No Kobra 3 fault is on record with Anycubic. The nozzle, the sheet and the belts are the wear parts, and on a Combo the ACE Pro and its tubes need checking too.

Buying guide
Most Kobra 3s for sale are Combos, and the ACE Pro in the box is what gives you four colors. We'd take the Combo at $495 delivered, near the top of the $320 to $500 band. Anycubic's Combo page showed sold out when we checked, so confirm the nozzle and PEI sheet you'll need are still sold, and look for bald patches on the sheet. Pass on the seller listing one Combo several times.
