The 2+ Connect is the modern version of the 2013 Ultimaker 2. Ultimaker launched it in November 2020 as a single-nozzle machine, without the S series' dual extrusion. It keeps the classic box frame and heated glass plate, with 223 x 220 x 205 mm to print in and nozzles you swap from 0.25 to 0.8 mm. What the Connect added was the network. It joins Wi-Fi or Ethernet and shows up in UltiMaker's Digital Factory, so you can send jobs from Cura and manage it remotely. Levelling is the old Ultimaker way, a wizard that walks you through it with a calibration card and the knobs under the plate. That card should come with it.

Print hours
There's no print-time counter for the 2+ Connect in UltiMaker's readable documentation that we could find, so the seller's rough estimate is what you'll get.
Hotend and nozzle
It prints with one swappable nozzle from 0.25 to 0.8 mm, with a 0.4 mm included, up to 260 °C. Ask for a close photo of the nozzle and whether spares come with it.
Bed and levelling
It prints on heated glass up to 110 °C. Levelling is assisted manual. The setup wizard walks you through it with the included calibration card and the knobs under the plate. Ask for a photo of the glass and whether the card is still with it.
Belts, rails and screws
The 2+ Connect launched with a more ergonomic feeder lever and improved assisted levelling. Ask for a photo of a recent print and how often the seller cleaned and lubricated it.
Firmware and account
It connects over Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB and is managed through UltiMaker Cura and Digital Factory. Ask the seller to take it off their Digital Factory account first.
Enclosure and add-ons
UltiMaker sold an optional Air Manager for it that adds a front enclosure and removes up to 95 percent of ultrafine particles. Check the listing for one.
Spare parts
We couldn't confirm a 2+ Connect spare-parts list on UltiMaker's site. Nozzles are swappable, so check the sizes you need are available before you buy.
Shipping and packaging
We couldn't read UltiMaker's packing steps for this model. Ask for the original box, with the glass plate padded and the print head held still, and look for a cracked plate on arrival.
Should come with it
The glass build plate
The calibration card
Power cable and spool holder
The Air Manager, if the listing mentions it
Check the listing photos against these lists, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing sheet, add-on or power supply should come off the price.
What to check
UltiMaker lists no 2+ Connect fault. The usual gaps are a missing calibration card, a chipped glass plate and a worn nozzle.
01Model name: Check the listing and label say 2+ Connect. The older 2+ and 2 Extended+ lack the networking.
02Recent print: Ask for a photo of a recent print with the first layer up. Even lines mean it's levelled well.
03Glass plate: Ask for a photo of the glass plate. It should be unchipped and clean.
04Nozzle: Ask for a close photo of the nozzle and which spare sizes come with it. Clean and round is good.
05Calibration card: Ask whether the calibration card is still with it. The levelling wizard uses it.
06Account: Ask the seller to remove it from their Digital Factory account. It should arrive ready to add to yours.
07Packing: Ask whether it'll ship in the original box. The glass plate needs to travel padded.
We haven’t been through this model’s listings yet. Search eBay and run every listing through the checklist above. Ask for a photo of the print-time screen and a recent print, which add-ons and spare parts come with it, and whether the seller has removed it from their account. Pass on any seller who won’t answer.
